The Art Furrer Resort is situated on the Riederalp, in the Aletscharena, a beautiful UNESCO heritage ski resort. The largest glacier of the Alps, the Aletsch Glacier, is at a stone's throw from these apartments and can be seen by the panoramic skiing route which leaves from the 3.000 meter Eggishorn (the highest mountain of the Aletsch Arena). The resort can only be reached by the cable car, which means that you park your car in the valley. Thanks to this, the Aletsch Arena is one of the only car-free skiing resorts in Switzerland. Zermatt is only a 1 hour drive from the valley car-park, whereas Lugano and Geneva can be reached in just over 2 hours.
